Voice For Animals (VFA)

January 28th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in 123triad

Voice For Animals (VFA) is grass roots, non-profit and no kill organization organization established in 1987 and headquartered in York, Maine. They believe that all animals matter and deserve compassion, comfort, happiness, and respect.

By alleviating some of the overcrowding which shelters across the state experience frequently or from time to time, Voice For Animals can help twice: once by rescuing some animals before they go to a shelter, and again by allowing the shelter animals to live longer (and have a better chance of being adopted) because there are more empty cages available. Their primary goal is to give them a VOICE. They work to eliminate animal suffering and overpopulation, to educate the public, and to promote sensitivity and caring toward all animals.

Hearts United for Animals

January 25th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in 123triad

Hearts United for Animals is a no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization dedicated to the relief of suffering. We take the creatures who are lost, afraid, hungry or ill and comfort them, give them a warm soft bed, good food, medical care and most of all, love. In many ways this is a very easy thing to do because these are lovely grateful animals who give a world of love in return. In other ways, it is very difficult because the number of animals in need is so large.

Hearts United for Animals not a typical shelter. The dogs share large yards where they romp and play with friends. We know and love every one of our dogs. Every dog at Hearts United for Animals has been altered and is current on heathcare. They can tell people in detail about their personalities, likes and dislikes.

Located in Northern Virginia, Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) has been serving the Washington metropolitan area since 1973. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter dedicated to saving abandoned and abused dogs and cats. We provide rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption services in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metropolitan areas.

The animals in our care come to us through no fault of their own. Some have been pulled from death row at other shelters, some have been rescued from abusive situations, others come to us after they have lost their way home or their owners are unable to care for them. Our dedicated volunteers provide the love, care, and attention they deserve until a new caring home can be found.

Animals for Awareness

Animals for Awareness. This is the name I attached to my concept back in 1993. In 1997 Animals for Awareness was finally incorporated, and in July of 1999 Kim & Goliath they received news that they are now a 501(c)(3) organization.

They Kim Schilling (right), Director of a very special place for very special animals. They have always loved animals, from the tiniest critters to the largest beasts, from the domestic to the wild and exotic. Like many people out there, I have a simple dream. To make a positive difference in the lives of a few unfortunate and misunderstood animals. Animals for Awareness accomplishes this through two things: Sheltering and Education.

Big Dog Pet Foods

January 20th, 2010 | Comments Off | Posted in 123triad

Big Dog Pet Foods was started in September 2000 with the vision to provide an alternative range of evolutionary pet meats to the general public. This vision became a reality when Big Dog Pet Foods was introduced to Dr Ian Billinghurst (B.V.Sc [Hons], B.Sc. Agr., Dip Ed.).
Together they took Dr Billinghurst’s intensive knowledge and first hand experiences with animal nutrition (in particular his ideas on evolutionary nutrition) and their expertise in Manufacturing (previously from Human Consumption Smallgoods Facilities) and were able to develop a commercial line of Dog and Cat foods that offer both nutritional and presentational uniqueness. With this Dr Billinghurst’s dream of the B.A.R.F (Bones and Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) Patty became a commercial.
