Pet Samaritan Fund

The Pet Samaritan Fund, a nonprofit organization established in 1991, aids needy animals mainly on the Wasatch Front and Uintah Basin.
They are not operated or fundedby any national humane groups or government agencies and must rely on Their adoptions fees and contributions.
Every penny They raise goes to caring for our animals, and they never euthanize a healthy, adoptable animal.

It is the highest priority of the Pet Samaritan Fund to adopt out healthy and behaviorally sound animals to their caring community.
There adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the many animals in their care.
they do their best to keep their adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support their goal of caring for adoptable animals until they can place them in a loving home.
Because They are a nonprofit, donations subsidize the gap between the cost for care and the adoption fee.

SPCA of Texas

The SPCA of Texas is dedicated to providing every animal exceptional care and a loving home.
The SPCA of Texas was incorporated by Texas State Charter on September 22, 1938 and is a tax exempt non-profit organization under section 501[c]3 of the Internal Revenue code.
They’re over 70 years old, but we do trace our roots to the late nineteenth century.

The June 30, 1888 issue of the Dallas Morning News stated that the Dallas Humane Society (the SPCA of Texas’ forerunner), was in fact, the first humane society in the state of Texas.
The agency was organized in 1888 to protect both animals and children. In later years, the group focused solely on animals.
The Dallas Animal Protective League and the Dallas Society for Animal Protection emerged in the 1930′s and the two groups consolidated in 1970.
The name of the two groups together then became the Dallas SPCA. Then, in 1993, the Dallas SPCA (based in Dallas) and the Humane Society of Texas (based in Collin County) merged to become the SPCA of Texas.
The SPCA of Texas is the leading animal welfare agency in North Texas with two shelters and two spay/neuter clinics located in Dallas and McKinney, and serves as an active resource center providing an array of programs and services that bring people and animals together to enrich each others’ lives.

Companion Animal Rescue Effort

The Companion Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) is a nonprofit network of volunteers who foster and adopt pets into caring homes.
Founded in 1987, CARE is a nonprofit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization based in Santa Clara County.
They accept owner-relinquished, abandoned, abused and otherwise neglected kittens, cats, puppies and dogs that would otherwise face uncertain futures.
These once homeless animals are taken into their volunteer foster homes where they receive quality nutrition, medical attention and lots of love and warmth until placed into quality, pre-screened, permanent homes at our adoption center located at 4190 Piper Drive in San Jose.

Because CARE is a “no-kill” animal rescue organization, their animals (barring severe illness) remain in foster care until adopted into quality, loving homes, regardless how long this may take.
This long-term care can lead to further expenses over and above the animal’s initial expenses.
Because CARE is a non- profit organization that does not receive local or federal funding, They depend on fundraiser along with support from their community to keep us operational.
CARE is committed not only to saving the lives of homeless animals but to public education.
It is our belief that with knowledge about responsible pet guardianship (in all its forms), they can curb and eventually end, the suffering of neglected animals and the tragedy of pet overpopulation which last year alone resulted in over 13 million pets euthanized in their nation’s animal shelters every year.
